Bi-Polar Disorder- Bipolar disorder involves one manic episode, which is determined by at least three of the following symptoms, and usually one or more major depressive episodes with at least five of the symptoms described in the depression brochure.

 

Schizophrenia- Schizophrenia is a disorder, or group of disorders, that affects the chemical balance of the brain, and in some cases the structure of the brain. Schizophrenia is unrelated to what some people call a “split personality”.

 

Depression- To reach a diagnosis of major depression, at least five of the following symptoms, including depressed mood or diminished interest or pleasure in usual activities, must be present nearly every day for two weeks or longer without an alternative physical cause.
